2009-2010 SUPPLY LISTS
(Tax free weekend August 7 - 9)


Kindergarten

* SEND ALL UNDERLINED SUPPLIES LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME AND IN GALLON ZIPLOC BAGS*

These supplies should last your child the majority of the school year if your child takes care of them. You will receive a notice when your child runs out and needs more.

1 Clear or Mesh Backpack (send every day) NO WHEELS!
1 RED vinyl folder with bottom pockets and center prongs
1 BLUE vinyl folder with bottom pockets and center prongs
1 Plastic red and blue rest mat (no cloth mats or blankets)
1 Small Plastic School box
12 Pencils
12 LARGE glue sticks
6 Packages of Crayons (Can be regular or twistables) Any brand or quantity will work.
1 Pair of Fiskars Scissors
1 package of 4 dry erase markers
1 White 2 inch wide, 3 ring binder WITH CLEAR FRONT POCKET
2 packs of 50 each page protectors
1 package of PRIMARY color computer paper
1 package of BRIGHT OR PASTEL color computer paper


1st Grade

Crayons

Elmer’s glue
2 – Writing tablets
Small school box
Standard size pencils
1 pack of primary colored computer paper
1 roll of double sided tape
1 package of clear top loading page protectors
2 Vinyl Folders with bottom pockets and prongs inside
Backpacks must be clear or mesh with no wheels.


2nd Grade

1 package Expo Dry Erase Markers
1 black/white Composition Notebook
1 plastic yellow folder with double pockets
1 plastic blue folder with double pockets
1 plastic red folder with double pockets
1 package #2 pencils (replenish as needed)
1 large sharp point scissors
1 box Crayons (24 count)
1 Elmer’s school glue
1 glue stick
1 school box
1 pack primary colored computer paper ( NOT CARDSTOCK)
1 pack pastel colored computer paper (NOT CARDSTOCK)
Ziploc Bags (Sandwich Size) – BOYS ONLY
White Lunch Bags – GIRLS ONLY

***Backpacks are not required, but are very helpful to students throughtout the day. If used, backpacks must be clear or mesh, and should have NO WHEELS!!

3rd Grade

Big multiplication flash cards (keep at home)
3 packs of Loose-leaf paper (WIDE RULED)
1 Single subject, spiral bound Notebook (WIDE RULED)
6 PLASTIC, pocket folders (The teachers will label the folders.) (red, yellow, blue, purple, and green colors are important – replace as needed)
Pencils – No. 2 lead (PLEASE NO MECHANICAL PENCILS)
Sharp, pointed medium sized, FISKARS scissors
Crayons
White Elmer’s Glue (no glue sticks or gel glue)
2 Packages of colored computer/printer paper (PRIMARY COLORS)
1 ruler marked with centimeters AND inches (NO “folding” rulers)
1 Large School box
Nylon pencil pouch (No plastic pouches)
2 packages of highlighters (yellow is preferred)
1 roll of WIDE masking tape

** If purchasing a backpack or book bag, it must be WHEEL FREE and made or CLEAR OR MESH material. Please, do not purchase “Trapperkeepers”. We have no room to store them, and they will not be used.

***It would be a GREAT HELP to your child to begin memorizing the multiplication facts from 0-5. He/she would also benefit from reviewing addition and subtraction facts. You can do it!!!


4th Grade

Expandable Folder- (With at least 6 inside pockets)
3 Wide Ruled Notebooks (Science, Reading, and AL History)
2- One inch binders (English and Math)
2- Packs of wide-ruled loose leaf paper (English and Math)
1- Pack of page protectors (English and Math)
1- three hole folder with pockets (English)
1 Folder with prongs and pockets (Wow! What a Weekend)

Primary Colored Paper (not card stock)

  • Backpacks or book bags are not required.  However, if your child chooses to bring one to school, it must be wheel free and made of clear or mesh material.
  • There will be no room in desks and cubbies for Trapper-keepers or large binders, so please do not purchase one.  Trapper-keepers and large binders will be sent home if brought to school.

  • Students learn their addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts 0-9’s before they leave third grade. Please review these facts with your child during the summer, so they will be ready to begin fourth grade math in the fall.
